New Orleans, Louisiana

Mammoth Espresso is a small specialty roaster in the heart of New Orleans. They take their craft seriously.

Mammoth Espresso

Central Business District

A quaint space with limited seating, but beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows for exceptional lighting.

Mammoth is one of my absolute favorites, and one of the first places I was introduced to specialty coffee. For that, it will forever hold a special place in my life. With well trained baristas and high quality beans, you can’t go wrong here.

I’m typically a plain Jane, but Mammoth’s signature Sweet Little Thing (espresso & tonic) is worth the purchase.

Originally carrying Madcap (Michigan based roaster), Mammoth now is a specialty roaster with exceptional artisanal coffees.

Lowpoint

A small cafe that’s literally tucked away in New Orleans eclectic Bywater neighborhood.

Lowpoint uses a rotation of beans, but commonly carries Ruby Roasters, a specialty roaster from the small town of Nelsonville, WI.

A small cafe in the colorful Bywater. Pond has an awesome neighborhood feel and some of the best espresso in New Orleans.

Bearcat Baked

Located in the Central Business District, Bearcat is one of the most high demand restaurants in the whole city that also happens to have incredible coffee. Now, to the blessing of all of us, they have a permanent bakery where you can just walk in an order smooth espresso and delicious pastries anytime you want.

HEY Cafe

Super fun and quirky, another neighborhood style shop like Pond and Lowpoint. That’s part of the charm of NOLA, many of the best spots are just on the street corner where everyday people live. HEY! is a coffee roaster with two locations, the one featured is the cafe in Uptown.

Congregation

Coffee Roasters

Algiers

Congregation is another great New Orleans roaster, and their green gator mug is one of the coolest I’ve ever seen. Across the river, it’s a bit out of the way. However, if you find yourself taking the ferry to see the view, make sure to stop by Congregation.

Another neighborhood spot located in West Riverside/Uptown. If you’re on Magazine doing some shopping or dining, then Cherry is a great nearby option. Also, check out nearby Barracuda for some incredible street tacos.
